I walked through an old Romanian cemetery today. There were no signs of life among the massive headstones, just a creepy feeling at the back of your neck, a sudden rush of cold air, and the impression that someone is watching, waiting. Here it is normal, but what do you do when these entities chose to interact with the living?
Beyond practical science is the area of the supernatural. Many people believe and have experienced strange phenomena in their lifetimes. Moving objects, floating apparitions and things that go bump in the night. You would think that all this is just the stuff of movies, but many organizations exist that investigate the abnormal, and even solve your ghostly problems if possible.
Recently, in Great Britain, an “advisor” was called in to the Tea Tree Gully Library. Fully paid for by the establishment-the unwanted guests were expelled and it was back to business for the employees. Quick, efficient, and nobody gets hurt.
But this is not an isolated case and there really is no way of explaining away all the “sightings” and weird events. So there are many, MANY, organizations across the globe that can help with these strange situations. You can find an extensive list of investigators at www.ghostvillage.com The site is a little slow- but worth it.
It’s too bad that life can’t be like the movies. You won’t see Bill Murray rushing into save the day with his ectoplasmic ray machine drawing the spectre into a mechanical box for safekeeping. But you will see regular people with all sorts of gadgets- sound recorders, night cameras, temperature gauges, etc. who are dedicated on detecting paranormal activity. They really believe in their work- even if the rest of us don’t. Who are we to say, really? But I guarantee- if it happens that YOU are unexpectedly approached with chains rattling overhead, chattering voices in the night, doors closing by themselves, or motions from the corner of your eye when you’re alone-Help is on the way. Just give us a call.
